Hello. I have a lenovo x220 with intel hd 4000 graphic card. I can play all the games at 1024x768, but if i try to play something at 1536x768 the screen is black. I have the same problem with 1080p movies in windows media player or whatever player. The screen is black. Any solution?
Do you have a GeForce or AMD Radeon graphics card? With my system (and with the Intel HD graphics in Macs) anything above 1080p will cause tearing. I don't believe that the HD 4000 is capable of higher than 1080p.
I don't have a Radeon card, but a GeForce 8600GTS. I tried to install the driver 304.109, but it is black screen (windows 3D maximum). The same problem I have on the game (see above). Someone knows how to resolve it?
My laptop have the amd A10-6800K processor with an A10-7850K cpu and a Sapphire R9 270X GPU... it also have 8GB RAM... when i turn on the laptop it starts loading the windows 8 and it works fine but when i start playing some games i can't see the game only a black screen.
It worked fine until now... in windows it says that my graphics card is the Radeon R9 270X. I changed my Windows to Windo 7 and I installed the new driver, it worked fine in Windo 7 but when i turned it on the laptop it's black. I tried to use the "allow you to test or play games" in windows 8, it says that the R9 270X is not supported...
I have the same problem, but with my i5 laptop... when i first installed windows 8, the game was black too, i installed a driver for my graphic card, it was very old so i used a new driver (an Nvidia i think) and the game was black too... when i opened the video option in windows 8 it was working fine... but after some days, when i turn the laptop on, the game was black again.
